Went for jury duty yesterday. I had rescheduled it because when I had it before, I also had finally gotten a date to talk to the water commissioner (which as we know was a waste of time) and they let me pick a new date. I picked yesterday because I had read it was a good idea to aim for jury duty near a holiday because not many trials start then. I guess it paid off because some how not a single judge in all of Baltimore City wanted a juror yesterday. We all just sat there and then they sent us home at 4. Which was a relief (although I did have a yummy sushi lunch which made the day tolerable) because we go on vacation in only 7 possible trial days (plus weekends/holiday) and I was worried I’d get picked and get stuck serving and not go on vacation.
Which is our first non-wedding attending, non family visiting, actually stay the night in a hotel vacation since we got married. We are only going to Ocean City but I think it will be fun. Matt’s never been and I really wanted a vacation where we could just park the car and walk every where (except maybe for a trip to the Rehobeth outlets or dinner out one night) and not have to cook or clean or wash dishes. Just relax!
