It is very warm out -must be near 70-but dreary. I went out briefly to pick up some library books my mom had picked up for me. No one was home but my grandpop. I visited with him for a while and wanted to stay longer but wanted to get back-I’ve have been trying to get ahold of this women about a job interview since Wednesday but she was out yesterday and today she hasn’t been available. I was afraid she’d call and want to phone interview me while I was driving in the rain. I hate when that happens. I feel both unprepared and about to crash when people call me about important stuff in the car.
Frankly the job doesn’t sound so hot, but we have grown quite fond of paying the mortgage and eating so I have to follow up any lead. I did apply for a cool job yesterday that had flexible hours and a 28 hour work week which seems less daunting than typical full time work. Other than visiting Grandpop, the highlight of my day has been picking up some Chinese food at the super speedy and yummy takeout place in the ghetto shopping center not far from my mom’s house. I paid in coins (total was less than $5!) and felt very classy.
In food related news: some recipes of mine are in this Holiday Cookbook mini Croq zine. Another recipe of mine is supposed to be on an online magazine today but it doesn’t seem to be up yet. I’ll post to Coconut & Lime when it is.
