So, my hot chocolate recipe is up at Four Weeks Magazine’s website! A post about it will be up on Coconut & Lime tomorrow. I actually am going to have a bit of a backlog of things to post there. I didn’t post on Friday because I planned to blog about the hot chocolate but it didn’t go live as scheduled so now I have an extra thing to post. Saturday I made the mango bread and some horseradish sauce. The bread I posted yesterday and I posted the sauce today. I like to post only once a day (unless the recipes go together like cake and icing) because if I do too many, they get kind of lost in the mix. Plus I normally post what I made that day and I normally don’t make too many things in one day. However, today we are making two new recipes. Since I have some special posts this week I had to work out a schedule:

Monday: link to my hot chocolate recipe/article
Tuesday: cookies (making them tonight)
Wednesday: an exciting announcement!
Thursday: Jamaican meat pies (tonight’s dinner)

and I probably will make more things for dinner over course of the week so I might end up with quite a stockpile. I’ll have to write them up so I don’t forget when it is time to post. Not a bad problem to have, since there are some days I just don’t feel like being clever and coming up with something new all the time.

I am also trying to come up with ideas for food gifts to give people this year. What would you like to get (for those of you I know in real life, think carefully because you might just get it) as a food present? Seasoned nuts? Sweets? Candy? Cookies? Cocktail mixes? Tangerine curd? Caramels?

Strangeness: we were at the grocery store today (where we spent $82 and saved $65 by the way and came home with like 10 bags of groceries) and I was wearing my lovely bright pink/green paisley trench coat. This lady came up to Matt and was talking to him as I picked out mangos (to make this bread) and then they both came over to me. To make a long story short, she told me she had bought 2 scarves (she was wearing a multicolored eyelash yarn knit scarf) and one was pink and green and she had planned to give the pink and green one away to the first person she saw wearing a coat that matched it. She saw me and wanted to give me the scarf. I said okay, they went out to her car and she gave me a scarf! She said she wanted to do something nice at Christmas time. Mondo bizarro but the scarf is cute and really does match my coat exactly! Have you ever heard of such a thing?
