I haven’t sent out any cards yet this year. I feel sort of bad because this year for some reason we have gotten a lot of cards. At this point I am debating about just skipping it and sending out Valentines in February instead. Wouldn’t you like to get a random Valentine?Or is it totally bad manners not to send Christmas cards out to people who sent you cards? I have to say, part of it is the cost and not just general laziness. Right now, spending 40 cents per card just on postage sounds a little expensive. Hopefully by Valentine’s Day, we’ll have some more income and I can stock up on pretty Love stamps.

Christmas has always been so overwhelming to me, I was relieved that Matt is Jewish and we don’t have to do a big Christmas Eve/Day thing between the families. We go to my parent’s house for “dinner” (served at 1 PM) and then this year we are probably going hook up with Heather afterwards but that’s it. We aren’t really doing much in the way of presents or anything since I am not working. We’ve been lighting the candles each night and making candy and cookies but that’s about it.
