We are getting set for the 80s-a-thon:
Food: We are making individual pesto-sundried tomato-articoke heart “California” pizzas and poke cake.
Snacks: Matt is supposed to be picking up some 80s candies today. We are aiming for Reese’s Pieces (introduced in the 70s but popularized in the 80s), Nerds, gummy worms/bears (introduced to the US in 1980), Skittles, microwaved popcorn.
Games: Trivial Pursuit
Movies: It is a bit of a race against time concerning the movies for 80s night. We got one movie (Footloose?) in the mail yesterday but the other one that was sent out (Dirty Dancing?) is coming from AZ and the estimated arrival isn’t until Tuesday. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.
They have scheduled two Molly Ringwald movies to ship out for me today and one movie (Flashdance?) for Matt, and if they are sent from our usual center, they should arrive tomorrow. It sounds like a lot of movies, but I bet most are pretty short and we were trying to ensure the maximum amount of movies possible. Of course, we still only have one actually here so it might not even be a marathon. It might just be a thon.
