Our kitchen is still not finished, I had to bully them into sending someone out to finish the job sooner rather than later and now they are over 2 hours late. Their incompetence has really ruined what could have been a really fun experience. Instead, it has been a headache marked by weeks of prep and rescheduling, an unfinished kitchen, $70 in waterproofing supplies (that Matt had to buy and spend a whole day applying) to get the kitchen to the point where we can actually run water in it (still waiting to be reimbursed for that), days of cleaning all of our pots, pans, cups, dishes, silverware, measuring spoons/cups, utentils, glasses because dust got every where and we still can’t put things away! I am relegated to cooking one pot meals or using the slow cooker.
In other news, I think Matt is trying to turn me into a super nerd. He sucked me in to Buffy (which I have resisted watching since high school !) and now of my own free will I added Eureka season one (which is a SciFi network show! I cringe!) to my queue and am really enjoying it. It is sort of like a grown up version of my favorite show from childhood, Eerie, Indiana. And I liked The Lost Room, also a SciFi production. Oh, and I watched (and liked!) Doctor Who (although in my opinion, David Tennant is the lesser doctor) and am looking forward to Torchwood. In my defense, all of these shows are on the light side of the scifi scale. I am still holding strong against BattleStar Galactica. I have to draw a line somewhere.

I love Eureka! It is one of my fave summer shows. I have to agree with you about Doctor Who, and I can’t even watch it anymore. I also can’t watch BattleStar Galactica because I grew up watching the real show that was funny, but had a serious side to it too. The new one is just too dark for my taste. I like funny and quirky shows!
So sorry about all the headaches with doing the kitchen show. Doesn’t sound like they were very prepared for you guys! I hope that it will be finished up for you all soon!

We used to watch “Eerie, Indiana” *all* the time (well, because of our Indiana connection, hehe!). Loved that show.
